Armed Robbers Invade 2 Banks In Owo

A gang of armed robbers on Wednesday afternoon invaded Skye and Wema banks in Owo, Ondo state.
An eye witness account stated that the 8-man armed robbery gang barged into Skye bank immediately some officials of the Micro-Credit Finance bank in Akure made a huge deposit of the money meant to process a soft loan.
It was gathered that an undisclosed amount of money was carted away from Skye Bank by the trigger-happy armed robbers.
They however didn’t kill anyone during the incident which, source told Nigerian Concord, lasted for about 20 minutes.
Nigerian Concord’s reporter who visited the scene of the crime shortly after the robbers left was immediately alerted of another robbery operation at a nearby Wema Bank by the same gang which has five men and three young ladies.
On getting to Wema Bank, our reporter reported that a security man was killed while several customers were injured by the armed robbers.
Nigerian Concord also gathered that two men who were using the ATM machine inside the bank were shot by the invaders.
They were however rushed to the State Specialist Hospital in the town shortly after the robbers left the scene.
It was also gathered that a huge amount of money was also carted away from the second scene of operation.
Meanwhile, men of the Nigerian Police Force were later seen, inspecting both scenes at Wema and Skye Banks.
