Ortom nominates Akase, one other as Special Advisers

Benue state governor, Mr. Samuel Ortom, has the approval of the State House of Assembly to appoint his former Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Terver Akase, and one other person that is yet to be identified as Special Advisers.
This is just as the Benue State House of Assembly has granted approval for Governor Samuel Ortom to appoint duo as his additional Special Advisers.
The House gave the approval during Wednesday’s plenary following a request in a correspondence from the Governor signed by the secretary to the state government, Prof. Anthony Ijohor SAN and read by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Titus Uba.
The Governor through the correspondence explained that, given his commitment to the development of the state and in order to consolidate on the gains of his administration in its second tenure, he desires to bring on board people of proven integrity and competence to help drive development of Benue State.
The approval therefore brings the total number of the Special Advisers to thirty two (32).
A bill for a law to establish the Benue State commission for peace and Reconciliation also Wednesday, 21st April, 2022 enjoyed first reading at the floor of Benue State House of assembly.
