Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, has blamed the federal government over its failure to secure the lives of Nigerians in the hands of Fulani killers.

Akume who was speaking at Igbor, Gwer-East Local Government Area (LGA) of the state on Tuesday during an event in honour of Ambassador Yonov Agah, blamed the federal government for causing how Nigerians are being butchered by fulani herdsmen like ordinary animals.

Citing the example of the Fulani killings in Benue state, the former governor said the failure of the President Buhari-led federal government contributes to insecurity in the country.

“There is nothing in Benue but bloodshed; there’s a lot of bloodshed; the blood of human beings. See what’s happening now, it’s more fearful than before. Each day we wake up, people are being butchered like wild animals”, Akume stated.
