UNICAL: Benue youths, students bodies to honour Ijever

Members of the Benue Youth Forum, National Association of Nigerian Students in Benue South, National Union of Benue State Students and the Community of Tiv Students will tomorrow, Tuesday April 6, honour Andrew Wueseter Ijever who emerged as the overall best graduating student at the 34th Convocation of University of Calabar, from the Department of Radiography, Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences as their Ambassador.

According to information available to Nigerian Concord Newspaper, the Benue Youth Forum as well as all the students bodies in the state will also present Ijever to the state governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, at the Benue People’s House, Makurdi, tomorrow.

A source within the Benue students bodies told this Newspaper that it is important for Ijever to be honoured by all Benue sons and daughters as a result of the pride he had brought into the state since he was announced as the overall best graduating student at the 34th Convocation of University of Calabar, from the Department of Radiography, Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences.

Recall that Governor Samuel Ortom had last week congratulated Andrew Wueseter Ijever immediately he was declared as the overall best graduating student at the 34th Convocation of University of Calabar, from the Department of Radiography, Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences.

In his congratulatory message, the Governor stated that Mr Ijever had made the government and people of Benue State proud with his academic excellence, adding that it would serve as a source of inspiration to students from the state and other parts of the country.

Ortom also urged the young academic to consider his victory as a sign of greater things to come in his career.

He also encouraged other Benue sons and daughters studying at home and in the diaspora to emulate Andrew Ijever with commitment and hard work, to be able to realize their dreams.
