Former governor of Benue state and Senator representing Benue North East, Dr. Gabriel Torwua Suswam PhD, says no amount of fallacious allegation can ruin the relationship he enjoys with his successor, Governor Samuel Ortom.

Senator Gabriel Suswam made this known in Logo local government today when he joined thousands of sympathizers to bid farewell to his uncle, Late Pa. Abraham Adze Tingir.

The former governor who used the medium to address the issues of political interest assured his constituents of his good and cordial relationship with the Executive Governor of the state Dr. Samuel Ortom whom he described as a friend and brother who has the interest of the state at heart.

Promising to support the governor to move the state forward, the senator went down Memory Lane and reminded the people of the support he got when he was governor from Governor Ortom who was then a Minister. He assured the people no fallacious allegations against him from enemies of unity would break the bond he shares with the Governor.

On the issue of Security, Suswam cautioned the youths and people of Logo to be law abiding and respect laid down rules put in place by the government to curtail crime in the sankera axis.

He advised them not to allow intruders into their midst to breach security protocols as the Governor Ortom’s administration is committed to rid the state of crime and by so doing placed security as its paramount importance.

He also advised them to come out and participate in the Census as it is an exercise that gives the government information of its population thereby knowing where to channel resources and carry out restructuring.

Suswam promised to continue doing his possible best to represent his people and bring federal government present to the zone and asked for prayers for the governor and all political leaders in the state for unity because a house divided by itself can never stand.

Earlier in his funeral oration, Sen. Suswam described the deceased as a man who was known for his strong will, determination and one who always stood steadfast in whatever he believed in. He described the death of Pa Abraham as a great loss to the people of Logo and prayed for God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Senator Gabriel Suswam was accompanied by the Chief Justice of Benue State Justice Kakaan and other prominent personalities. Remains of Late Pa Tingir was later committed to mother earth amidst tears.
