Well over one hundred and fifty youths in Benue state will secure employment in the ongoing rehabilitation and construction of three major township roads in Otukpo local government.

This job creation was made possible with the Benue state government awarding the roads rehabilitation and construction contracts to indigenous firm.

Speaking for the indigenous firm in a press statement, the Managing Director, Mr. Agaba Ikwue, stated that the township roads had required urgent attention for over two decades to alleviate the plight of the people.

The statement commended the State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom and his Deputy, Mr. Benson Abounu for awarding the contract to the indigenous firm rather than to multinationals.

It added that it will boost the economy of the State and impact positively on the host community.

He promised to complete the project within the stipulated time.
