One week after the death of the senator that represented Ogun East between 2015 and 2019, Senator Buruji Kashamu, the Federal government as well as his party, PDP, have not deemed it fit to console the deceased’s family.
Kashamu who was earlier discharged from Isolation Center after he recovered from COVID19 died at the First Cardiology Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos last weekend.
The Federal government through the spokespersons of President Muhamadu Buhari, Mr. Femi Adesina and Mallam Garba Shehu, usually consoles families of important Nigerians that pass on through their social media pages and accounts but same gesture hasn’t been extended to the family of late Buruji Kashamu despite that had served as a Senator of the Federal Republic.
Apart from being a senator, Buruji Kashamu had employed thousands of unemployed Nigerians in his various companies but still the Federal government didn’t deem it fit to issue a statement to console his family.
Apart from the Federal government, Buruji’s party, PDP, also didn’t issue a statement to console with his family.
Usually, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan is the one issuing press statements on behalf of the party in any event like this but that hasn’t been done to the late Billionaire businessman’s family.
