Benue APC lawmaker accused of manslaughter

MASSAGE TO JOHN DYEGH, HON MEMBER REPRESENTING GBOKO/ TARKA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY.

The Honourable member representing Gboko/Tarka federal constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. John Dyegh, has been accused of unlawfully killing one Ahom Asom.

According to reports available to Nigerian Concord Newspaper, the deceased died as a result of the quack medical treatment which he got from John Dyegh’s free medical outreach.

It was gathered that Elder Asom, before his death, was managing his life until he participated in the free medical outreach where he went through major surgical operation.

It was also gathered that after the major surgical operation, a card of paracetamol of about N30 and antibiotics of about N70 were only given to him without proper monitoring of his health situation by the management of the lawmaker’s free medical outreach. This led to his untimely death, according to a social media activist, tsar Gundu Jnr.

In his open letter to Hon John Dyegh, the activist said: Hon Dyegh, It’s pertinent for people to know this, you won’t allow any member of your family to receive this kind of quack medical treatment, but you successfully launched it on innocents and vulnerable citizens where it has negatively affected someone’s life.

“Hon John Dyegh, in other countries where the system works, this is a clear case of (manslaughter) unlawful killing of a human being either in negligence or incidentally.

“This action of yours also contravenes sections of our laws here in Nigeria as it has untimely caused death to one of your constituent, you must be willing to defend this case in the court of law whenever you are called upon”
