Suswams felicitates with Dankwambo as Ewi gives chieftaincy titles

The Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Aladesanmi III, on Friday honoured the governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, with a chieftaincy title of APESIN of Ado Ekiti.

Apart from Fayose, others that were honoured at the conferment which took place at the Banquet hall of the Ewi’s Palace were the governor of Gombe state, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, his wife, Hajiya Adama Dankwambo, a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, and his wife, Adenike Adebutu.

While Dankwambo was conferred with the title of AKINMUAGUN of Ado Ekiti, his wife was conferred with the title of YEYE AKINMUAGUN.

Both Adebutu and his wife were conferred with the titles of AJIROSOLA and YEYE AJIROSOLA of Ado Ekiti respectively.

Speaking with reporters after the conferment, former governor Suswam of Benue State expressed his happiness towards the success of his friends who were honoured by the monarch.

He said the honour which was bestowed upon his friend, Dankwambo, by the Ado Ekiti monarch shows the kind of person he is.

His words: “This honour shows that Governor Dankwambo is recognized beyond the northern region. It shows that he is recognized everywhere in this country”

Suswam, a son-in-law to the people of Ekiti State said that he was happy that Fayose has been able to transform the state since he became governor.

He added that with leaders like Fayose, the people of Ekiti State will not lack any of the dividends of democracy.

Speaking at the occasion which was graced by former governors of Benue, Niger and Ogun states, Dr. Gabriel Suswam, Babangida Aliyu, and Gbenga Daniel, Ooni of Ife, chairman of Ado Ekiti local government, Hon. Deji Ogunsakin, traditional rulers and politicians from all over the country, Oba Rufus Aladesanmi explained that the chieftaincy titles were conferred on them as a result of their selfless services to their respective states and subjects.

The monarch however enjoined the people of the State to emulate the good leadership styles of the conferees, saying that their goodwill is speaking a lot about them at the moment.

In his reaction, the new APESIN of Ekiti State, Dr. Ayodele Fayose, thanked the monarch for the good gesture he extended to him and his fellow conferees.

Fayose promised that his administration would continue to bring development to Ado Ekiti and the entire Ekiti State.
