By Ayodele Popola, Ado Ekiti

The entire Ado Ekiti is presently witnessing a total standstill as the monarch of the town, Ewi of Ado Ekiti, HRH Oba Rufus Aladesanmi, will today give a chieftaincy title to the governor of Gombe state, Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo.

Apart from Dankwambo who will be honoured with a chieftaincy title of AKINMUAGUN, the monarch will also honour Governor Fayose and Honourable Oladipo Adebutu with chieftaincy titles.

The event which is expected to begin at noon today will be holding at the Royal Banquet Hall at the Ewi’s Palace in Ado Ekiti.

Our correspondent in Ado Ekiti reports that several politicians including the Mayor of the council, Honourable Deji Ogunsakin, opinion and traditional rulers from both Gombe and Ekiti states are already seated at the venue, waiting for the arrival of Governor Dankwambo, his host, Governor Ayodele Fayose, as well as Former Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State.

According to our correspondent, residents of the town are seen carrying placards and posters which say Dankwambo should run for president in 2019.

Some of the residents who spoke with Nigerian Concord expressed their confidence that Dankwambo, with his wealth of experience as a former accountant general of the federation as well as governor of Gombe state, can return Nigeria back to its great place in 2019.
