Kester floors Benue House in court
The Honourable member, representing the good people of Logo State House of Assembly seat, Hon. Dr. Terna-Kester Kyenge today floored the leadership of the state legislative arm as he got judgement in his favour at the State Court.
Ruling over the matter, the honourable justice said the lawmaker has the right to decide if he wants to continue with the matter or not.
He added that since Kester had willingly withdrawn the suit against the Assembly, he can not be forced by anyone to continue.
The Judge then ordered that he (Dr. Kyenge) be allowed to resume his full legislative business at the Assembly.
It can be recalled that Dr. Kyenge was suspended by the Assembly for six months after which he went to court to challenge the action of the Assembly.
In the course of seeking for Justice, he was advised and prevailed upon by friends and associates to withdraw the matter and allow the suspension stand which he did.
At the end of his suspension, the leadership of the House didn’t allow him to resume, saying that he had to wait for the outcome of his suit.
