Benue APC scribe condemns manipulation of primaries by Ortom, Ikyange

The Secretary of the Benue state chapter of the APC, Mr.. Onov Tyuulugh, has condemned the way the state governor, Mr. Samuel Ortom, and Speaker Ikyange manipulated the just concluded primary elections of the ruling party in its preparation for the forthcoming local government election.

The APC secretary who expressed his displeasure in a media note on the Social Media on Sunday added that this act had shown that there is no democracy in the party.

He explained that he and some other chieftains of the APC in the state were beaten and chased away from the Congresses by thugs working for Ortom and Speaker IKyange.

Mr.. Tyuulugh pressed further that those who manipulated the primaries drafted in non-delegates to vote after which fake results were announced.

He lamented that no primary election was conducted in his Ward because the materials were first taken to the houses of the Speaker’s loyalists with the backing of the governor.

In UShongo, the APC scribe noted that Speaker IKyange’s candidates were used to replace original candidates that emerged at the primaries conducted there.
