National chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday night met the controversial member of the Supreme Court Panel, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, in order to lobby the Panel to ensure that it delivers a ruling in favour of a Rerun in the case between the candidate of the Benue state chapter of his party, Emmanuel Jime, and the governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom.

The Supreme court panel of judges led by CJN Muhammed Tanko has fixed Tuesday January 21, 2019 for its ruling in the case.

According to a top source within the Presidential Villa, the meeting between Oshiomhole and Kekere-Ekun which took place at the Akinola Aguda Lodge which is the official residence of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo lasted for about one hour.

Recall that Kekere-Ekun has been accused many times by politicians as a constant instrument used by anti- Democratic agents resident in Lagos from where she was elevates as a supreme court judge to deliver several most doubtful and controversial judgments which removed PDP governors and other elected officials in the past.

Nigerian Concord gathered that Oshiomhole said to his party men after a meeting of the APC expanded caucus in Abuja yesterday that he was going to meet Kekere-Ekun at the Presidential Villa after the APC meeting to ensure that a Rerun is forced on Benue state during Tuesday’s ruling by the Supreme Court.

At the meeting, Oshiomhole reportedly reminded Kekere-Ekun of his long time rift with Governor Ortom, stressing that he had taken the task upon himself to ensure his removal by all crooked means.

The former Edo state governor, according to sources at Akinola Aguda residence of VP Osinbajo asked the judge why the panel members refused the $350,000 sent to them by top APC chieftains in order to manipulate the judgement.

In response, Kekere-Ekun told Oshiomhole how it had been difficult to convince CJN Muhammed Tanko to compromise his stand on the rule of law in the case between Jime and Ortom.

The judge however assured Oshiomhole that further talks will be opened with the Chief Judge of the Federation on Monday to ensure that a Rerun is ordered for in Benue state since it will be hard to declare Emmanuel Jime winner with the wide leading margin between him and the Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom.

Nigerian Concord however gathered that Adam Oshiomhole is doing everything within and outside his powers like buying judgements for APC governorship candidates in Imo, Benue, Sokoto, Kano and others to ensure that his removal as APC national chairman is stopped by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Feelers confided in this newspaper that the Buhari-led government will have no choice than to repose serious confidence in Oshiomhole as a reliable national chairman of the APC if he can use his tactics to win more states for his party through the Supreme Court judge Kudirat Kekere-Ekun Ekun
