Segun Adewale promises to restructure education in Ekiti

The governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Otunba Segun Adewale, has restated his resolve to restructure education in Ekiti state if he is elected governor of the state in the forthcoming July 14 governorship election.

Adewale made this promise during the graduation ceremony of his 21 years old son, Tosin, at the prestigious Princeton University, USA.

Tosin Adewale graduated with a Distinction honours in MSE, Computer Science.

Adewale who is running for the position of Ekiti state governor had since indicated among his 7 points agenda, desire to ensure qualitative education is returned to the state.

In his speech, the ADP aspirant assured that his administration would ensure right facilities and regular motivation for teachers to produce students who would not only be the pride of the state but Africa as a whole

He also raised the idea of prompt payment of bursary and scholarship awards to assist scholars acquire education both locally and internationally.

However, it was an outstanding moment at Princeton University, USA, as Tosin Adewale, a son of the renowned entrepreneur graduated from the reputed institution with distinction honours in MSE, Computer Science.

Tosin, who recently clocked 21 years, done his family proud with his latest academic achievements, which earned him several prizes at the ceremony that held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

In a similar show of excellence, the young Adewale had bagged first class honours in Electrical Engineering at the George Washington University in his first degree.

Tosin at 19, a hard working lad like his dad was a working student as a graduate assistant at the department of computer science while pursuing his Masters degree at Princeton University.

He attended Grange School, GRA, Ikeja, for his secondary education, where he also demonstrated incredible talents and academic excellence.

On Tuesday when Tosin’s MSE graduation was held, Otunba Segun Adewale and his wife, Mrs. Victoria Adewale, were in attendance at the event that celebrated the outstanding academic success of their son.

In her brief remark at the event, Mrs. Adewale who couldn’t hide her joy at the academic achievement of her son, expressed appreciation to God almighty for guiding her son since his first day at the University till his graduation for Masters degree.

She declared that education is the first step for any meaningful development and encourages other parents to invest in the education of their children.

In a similar tone, Otunba Segun Adewale, was full of praise for the young and talented Tosin, who he said have done the family proud and reinforces his belief in education as the right tool for social and economic development.
