Dave Iorhemba declares guber ambition, donates to IDPs

As the race for who occupies the Benue People’s House in 2019 gathers momentum, a former national legal adviser of the PDP, Barrister Dave Iorhemba, met with the party’s State Working Committee where he declared to contest the election.

While addressing the party officers at the party secretariat in Makurdi yesterday, Iorhemba who also recently served as the party’s Deputy National Secretary promised to use his wealth of experience to ensure victory for the party in the forthcoming general elections.

The former speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly also said he was also promised to use his past executive, legislative and judiciary experiences to take Benue state to a greater level if elected as governor in 2019.

Iorhemba further promised to make the PDP state excos more vibrant and active for the interest of the party and the state at large if he is given the governorship ticket.

The governorship aspirant was received by Hon John Ngbede, state chairman, his deputy, Tsetim Ayargwer, secretary Moses Audu, women leader, Legal Adviser, Mue Clement , publicity Secretary, Bemgba Iortyom, Teryima Adzenda, state youth leader, Zonal vice chairman and many others.

On his entourage were Hon Moses Shirsha, Ben Kile, Iorwuese Tyopev, elders, women, youths and the media coordinator for the campaigns, Jiji Jack.

In a related development, Barrister Dave Iorhemba yesterday visited the Daudu IDPs camp where he donated relief materials to victims of Fulanis attack in Benue.

The PDP governorship hopeful who arrived Daudu IDPs camp at 2:30PM prayed to God for a quick solution that will enable the victims to return to their normal lives and homes.

He also commended the state government, his party, PDP, and other donors who have been coming to the camps to support the IDPs with relief materials.

Iorhemba however presented some relief materials like bags of rice, beans, cartons of instant noodles, yams and other items to the victims.

As part of his activities, the former speaker also met with members of 8th Benue State House of Assembly to intimate them of his intention to become the next governor of the state.

During the meeting, members of the 8th Assembly promised the full loyalty and support to Barrister Dave Iorhemba whom they described as a progressive who will stop at nothing to bring developments to his people.
