Encomium as Orubibi bags chieftaincy title in Enugu
It was a shower of encomium on the Executive chairman of the Benue State Internal Revenue Service, Chief (Mrs) Mimi Adzape-Orubibi, as she bagged a chieftaincy title in Eha Etiti, Enugu state last Saturday.
Chief Mimi Orubibi was confered with the title of Adadioranma 1 of Eha Etiti.
The chieftaincy title which was last weekend conferred on Mimi Orubibi means ‘a daughter that is well accepted by everyone’.
In his speech, Enugu state governor, Mr. Ugwuayi, who spoke at the event on Saturday, 10th February, 2018 said the choice of Mrs. Mimi Orubibi and other honorees was based on merit.
He added that they were singled out for the honour because they distinguished themselves in their areas of endeavours.
Ugwuanyi therefore enjoined them to keep up with the good works they were doing which had not only endeared them to the Igwe-in-council and the people of Eha Etiti but informed same to confer on them this honour.
He expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship that has been existing between Enugu and Benue as neighbouring states and pledged to sustain same in the interest of all.
One of the members of the CPC, Prince Chinedu Okafor, said the choice of Mrs Mimi Adzape-Orubibi as the only woman among other honourees is an affirmation of the substance she is made of.
He said: “We have been hearing so much about Mrs Orubibi especially in the way she has been carrying out her assignment as the Executive Chairman of Benue State Internal Revenue Service.
“We have watched her many times on television and read so much about her in the news; indeed, we want to use this opportunity to encourage other women to emulate her and make us proud”.
Mr. Okafor went on to say as neighbours of Benue State, they have made Mrs. Mimi Adzape-Orubibi their daughter and will be glad to tap from her intelligence, accountability and resourcefulness.
The event which took place at Eha Etiti, Eha Alumona, Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu state also featured the presentation of staff of office to Igwe Fredrick Odo, Etiti 1 of Eha Etiti.
Chief Mimi Adzape-Orubibi the “Adadioranma 1 of Eha Etiti, was accompanied to the event by her family members, management and staff of BIRS as well as friends and well wishers.
Also at the event was Dr Seleipiri Dokubo Orubibi, her husband’s elder brother and representative of the Orubibi family.
