A former governor of Lagos state and embattled national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has indicated his support for the 2019 presidential ambition of a former vice president of the federation, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku.

Tinubu made his support for Atiku’s ambition known in his congratulatory message to greet the former vice president on the celebration of his 70th birthday.

This is just as the former vice president has indicated his interest to be president in 2019 with a promise to make Nigeria a better place if he is voted to be president.

It had been reported in the media in the last few weeks that both Tinubu and Atiku had perfected their arrangement to float a mega party to displace the APC during the 2019 general elections.

Also, it would be recalled that the former Lagos governor has not been in a good term with President Buhari and the APC leadership over their roles to humiliate him at the last governorship election in Ondo state.

In the congratulatory message, Asiwaju Tinubu made it known that Nigeria needs Atiku as its president to make life more meaningful for its citizens.

In the letter which he personally signed, Tinubu described the Turakin Adamawa as a man of faith, saying faith has kept him going and waxing strong.

The former Lagos governor urged Atiku to accept that “there is a tide in the affairs of men”.

“I write to felicitate with you on the attainment of the proverbial age of three scores and ten, 70. Your life has been a life of service to your people, your country and the causes you believe in.

“Nigeria has been well-served by your stewardship and leadership. Your steadfastness in walking the democratic path sets you apart as a leader with substance” the letter reads in parts.

Alhaji Atiku who spoke in a media note obtained by Nigerian Concord Newspapers said Nigerians Will prosper as he is coming to restructure Nigeria’s economy, devolve power and authority at the center and as well reduce resource control and exploitation by the center.

Atiku promised to create a center that will manage International Trade, Investment and Relation. He added to also devolve National Revenue sharing formular to benefit States, Local Government Areas and communities as development locations.
